Local young changemakers are driving positive change by raising their voices, exercising their civic power, and applying their skills and talents to shape a better Washington for all of us. They are artists, community organizers, entrepreneurs, activists, and storytellers—all collectively reminding us that each one of us has the power to take action in our own communities.
This program was co-curated by Storytellers for Change and the Gates Foundation Discovery Center in 2019 as part of the We the Future: Young Leaders of Social Change exhibition with the goal of sharing and amplifying the inspiring stories of 100 young changemakers (ages 13 – 35) in the Washington state region.
Changemakers were recommended by area nonprofits and grantees. Changemakers are often featured in our exhibitions, public programs, social media channels and our website.
