COVID-19: WHERE DO WE
GO FROM HERE?
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have each learned a lot about ourselves and society. While we have all experienced the pandemic, we haven’t all done so in the same way. Through this workshop we invite students to explore a range of stories from different communities, as well as their own personal experiences. We’ll engage in conversation, writing, and adding to the exhibits themselves with our own reflections of the past few years. Due to limited space in the gallery, this workshop is limited to groups of 20 at a time.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll end with an enriching conversation about what we see next, and the broad societal question of “Where do we go from here?” This is intended to be a highly participatory workshop with lots of opportunity for conversation, student sharing and dialogue.
The facilitated workshop lasts about 90 minutes. Depending on the group size, we’ll have between 1-2 staff to support the session and will split the students into smaller groups of about up to 10. We can do this on site, but it’s great if the teacher has pre-divided the students. Staff will rotate through the different exhibit components with their group engaging in a range of activities and discussions around the topic of COVID-19.
