Achieving Gender Equality

OVERVIEW
How would our world be different if people of all genders had access to the same amount of power and resources? Taking the United Nations' sustainable development goal of gender equality as a guide, we will explore gender inequality globally and locally. We will consider how empowering women and girls can make a better world for all.

RECOMMENDED AGE

WHAT TO EXPECT
This presentation works best if each student is utilizing their own device so we can utilize online polls, the chat feature and other digital tools. However, we are happy to work with you in whatever classroom environment you are in.

Students will grapple with the role of gender in their own lives and experiences. They will engage in a lively discussion to consider gender impacts from a global lens and our own power in working toward a more equal world. Students will leave with concrete ways to support gender equality in their own communities.
