What to do with all that Poo?
OVERVIEW
All 7+billion of us go to the bathroom, but many are not connected to systems that can properly deal with our waste – which leads to big piles of…problems. This workshop invites you to explore global sanitation, what the issue is, why it’s a big deal, and some of the many issues it intersects with. We’ll see and evaluate some possible solutions being tested around the world, hear some of your own ideas and wrap with a conversation about what happens locally when we flush.

WHAT TO EXPECT
This presentation works best if students are able to participate, which can be done with everyone on their own device or the presenter projected in a classroom with audio. We may utilize polls, the chat feature and other digital tools, depending on the setup.
We’ll introduce the topic through some slides and videos, but have plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion throughout, with maybe a few (super tacky) poo jokes tossed in. Students will leave with a fuller understanding of sanitation and why there is still work to be done.
