Teen Week - Summer Workshops

We're offering summer workshops spotlighting local and global issues—and ways YOU can take action to change the world. Explore topics such as climate action, design thinking, fighting diseases, and gender equality while meeting other changemakers and organizations making the world a better place.

Choose your own adventure: You can pick the topic that most excites you and make it a one-day experience, or take as many workshops as you like!

The best part is these workshops are completely free and open to all students rising to grades 9 – 12.

Teen Week: Global Goals

IN PERSON
Monday, July 17, 10 AM to 3 PM PT
Entering Grades: 9 – 12

Join local teens in exploring the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are an urgent call to action for the world to make progress on issues such as gender equality, clean water and sanitation, climate action and more! The workshop will include an in-depth overview of the Global Goals, guest speakers, games, hands-on activities, and connecting with local and global organizations. Teen Week: All About Food

Entering Grades: 9 – 12

Food is essential to all human life, but only some people have access to nutritious food. While there is food available to feed everyone, so many people, including children, still do not have enough food to eat. Hear from guest speakers working in agriculture, learn about global ingredients, meet organizations who are helping to end hunger, and consider how you can help create a more just food system for all.

Entering Grades: 9 – 12

How can we create opportunities for everyone to lead a healthy and productive life? Join us in exploring various health innovations and design thinking through the lens of our special exhibition, Designing Motherhood. Through engaging conversations, guest speakers, and hands on activities, workshop participants will consider various innovations and how and why they were developed to improve health.
