We The Future: Teacher Workshop

Join Amplifier and the Gates Foundation Discovery Center for an educator workshop focused on our newest exhibit “We the Future: Young Leaders of Social Change”. Take part in a professional development workshop on facilitating courageous conversations about race and equity in the classroom. This interactive workshop will help educators develop critical consciousness around institutionalized racism and how it shows up in our school communities. Participants will leave the workshop with a basic understanding of how to embrace discomfort and begin to address race and social injustice in the classroom. They will explore anti-bias anti-racist strategies that shift classroom culture to empower students to show up as their most authentic selves. 4 Clock Hours Available, lesson plans included, lunch provided, and parking will be validated. We are currently at capacity. Register to be added to the waitlist.
