Visibility for your work

Tell the story of your work – Has your team recently funded interesting resources like videos or impact stories? Do you have an interesting object or innovation you think we could feature in the Discovery Center? Email [email protected] with ideas.

Staff chats – Share a little about your work with the public by participating in our regular casual chat with the public or attend a staff chat to learn more about other people’s work across the foundation. Email [email protected] to learn more.

Custom tours

Let us help your partners and foundation guests have a great experience when they visit the Seattle office! We will provide a fun and engaging overview of the work of the foundation.

Past visitors include grantees from around the world, strategic partners, UN Secretary Generals, political, and tribal leaders, and heads of state. When you request a tour for these visitors please provide at least two weeks notice. For questions and more information on tours email [email protected].

Meetings and retreats

A visit to the Discovery Center can be a great place to host a retreat or team meeting.

Reach out about hosting large team meetings in our space either after hours or on days we are closed to the public. 

We can facilitate a range of activities in our space as a fun addition to team retreats.

Events

The Discovery Center is a welcoming space for foundation events and receptions. We’re open to partnering with Employee Resource Groups to create public programming that supports your focus. For more information on partnering for a public program email [email protected].

The Discovery Center is a great space for receptions for foundation-sponsored gatherings. For example, we recently hosted a networking reception for the Microneedles 2023 conference. Speak to your event planner for more information.

Youth programming

Let us support the young people in your life!

The Discovery Center offers school group tours and we welcome connections to any teachers who may be interested. For questions and more information email [email protected].

Discovery Center educators host Summer Youth workshops focused on the Sustainable Development Goals. Registration opens in the spring. Email us for more information and join our newsletter to get updates on registration dates.

The Youth Ambassador Program is a yearlong youth leadership program for high school-aged youth that focuses on community engagement and the Sustainable Development Goals. The Youth Ambassadors host the annual Teen Action Fair, a celebration of youth activism.
